Your Role
As a (Senior) Long-Form Video Editor (m/f/d), you’ll be independently responsible for the concept development, editing, and post-production of our main formats on YouTube (thematic videos, interviews, and documentaries). You’ll work closely with our producer to coordinate editorial plans, implement filming concepts, structure content for maximum impact, and design click-worthy thumbnails in our brand style. You’ll edit thematic videos and interviews to get straight to the point and know how to craft highly engaging trailers and teasers from the content that instantly leave viewers wanting more.
Absolutely necessary
- Several years of experience in long-form video editing for interviews, podcasts, documentaries, or similar editorial formats
- A demonstrable knack for conversational dynamics, pauses, rhythm, and the emphasis placed on different elements of content in a long-form context
- A Solid Understanding of Watch Time, Retention, and Viewer Behavior for Longer Video Formats
- Ability to work efficiently, in an organized manner, and independently, even when faced with very high quality standards
- Proficient in using DaVinci Resolve (or Premiere Pro)
- Excellent German language skills and a solid command of English
- High reliability, discretion, and a professional approach to handling sensitive content
Desirable Qualifications
- Strong skills in motion design
- Extensive experience with common AI video tools
- Experience with cloud-based workflows
